ABOUT THE BIG DAYOUR LOVE STORY
It didn’t take long for Adele & Tommy to fall in love.
They met sometime in 2016. They both worked in a big office, and by luck would have it were consistently seated close by each other, despite surviving several office desk re-shuffles. (This was back in those days when people worked in offices and had desks.)
By the end of the following year, Tommy had developed a bit more of a spine (and a better haircut). He asked Adele out on a cute after-work date on Friday, 27th September, 2017. One cute date turned into many, and many cute dates turned into true love.
In February of 2019, Adele and Tommy moved in together and continued their love story between happy homes, good times on international holidays and slightly-less good times in lockdowns where they really, really, really got to know each other.
On New Year’s Eve 2022, Tommy took Adele to a lookout in the middle of absolutely nowhere in South Australia, in the 45 degree heat. His idea of romance was to show her the most magnificent rock formation on the Murray River. She was less than impressed, so Tommy brought out a much different (and more sparkly) rock formation.
She said yes. And with it, the next chapter of their love story starts on January the 14th, 2023.
THE BIG DAY
Tumbling Waters Retreat
Amble down the M1 Motorway towards Wollongong, and take the Lawrence Hargrave Drive exit. Make a little left turn onto Stonehaven Road, and you’ll have reached our little haven of love.

4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony will take place in the main garden.
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Pre-Dinner Canapes and Drinks
The bridal party will retreat to the cliffside for group wedding photos. Guests to congregate on the oceanside terrace for sundowner celebration beverages, gourmet fruit and cheese platters, and a delectable chef’s selection of canapes.
6:30 PM – 10:00 PM: Reception
Join us inside the Retreat for our reception. A three-course dinner will be provided, alongside a beautiful selection of beverages. After dinner and drinks – mingle and dance the night away with us. The terrace and gardens remain accessible throughout the night.

Nights on balconies with generous sized glasses of wine – discussing relevant topics, as well as irreverent ones is the preferred past time of Lenore and Adele. They met in a strange twist of fate one afternoon when Adele accidentally gate crashed a date Lenore was on, proceeded to steal her for the night to chat on a, you guessed it… a balcony with a glass of wine. They have been the best of friends ever since.
Catherine Milne

Adele met Catherine in the early days of a year 7 Art class. A fateful assignment of clay pot making would see Catherine take pity on Adele and graciously make her pinch pot for her. Catherine has been helping poor Adele out ever since. This would speak not only to Catherine’s kind heartedness, but also her no-nonsense approach to life. There is always a fun time to be had when Cat is around.
Claire Houston

Claire is a fascinating character, with more hobbies and interests than most people even know exist. Variety is indeed the spice of life for this adventurous spirited girl. The story of how Adele met her little sister is unclear – they suspect the sharing of parents and childhood home had something to do with it.
Ross Kroon
Best Man
Ross was the only person that sat next to Tommy on his first day at Uni. Big mistake, Rossy Roo – because of that you accidentally got a best friend for life. Tommy and Ross continue to spend the next 10 years failing miserably to help each other stay sane.
Michael Connolly
Groomsman
Meeting over telling each other inappropriate jokes in Year 5, Michael is Tommy’s oldest friend from the Westside and fellow connoisseur of fully sick sound systems. 3290 km of distance does nothing to stop Michael and Tommy from being brothers.

Nikita is the lovable, fun-filled friend that’s as likely to wear a tuxedo to a rave, as he is to bring a live goat to a Michelin-starred restaurant. Always full of surprises and quirks, our NikNak keeps Tommy on his toes as he navigates the game of life.
